Sports support taping is fairly self explanatory, and with my Sports Trainer experience is a common element of my event work. Adhesive tapes are used to bind and support injured joints such as ankles or knees to prevent recurrence or the worsening of existing weaknesses.
Postural Taping is more commonly used at my clinic practice and can assist day to day postural problems; and along with remedial therapy and home stretching can re-educate your proprioceptive system to gain a more balanced posture. I commonly use the shoulder example shown opposite and will teach you how to apply with the help of a partner. Tape should be changed regularly to avoid skin irritation.
